The C's have Four? Really? I went on the Oaky in 2005 and I think she only had three. Intersting.

For the "C" Class It's Six Between Deck 2 and Deck 5. Four Between Deck 5 and 6. Two Between Deck 2 and Deck 6.

On Cowichan and Coquitlam, you're forgetting another 4 staircases. The ones that go from the outer deck bow wings. Plus now on Oak Bay and Surrey, there's only another 2 staircases outside.

Sorry, I was referring to the Coquitlam and Cowichan. Don't they have two staircases that go right from Deck 2 right up to Deck 6 (they come out underneath the funnel); two staircases from Deck 2 up to Deck 5 (where there used to be escalators); four staircases between Deck 5 and 6 where foot passengers disembark in each corner of the vessel; and two staircases between Deck 5 and 6 in the Forward Lounge?

As some of you may know, stairways on ships are called (or at least were called) something else. Any one know? Example, a ship does not have a floor, it has a deck.

Could it be a companionway?
