HMCS Nanaimo, I'm suprised you're not interested in getting involved on this trip! Seeming it will be the first day of the Surrey being in Service, Deborah Marshall will most likely be there providing cookies and what not, like they usually do when a ship returns from Mid-Life!   |

If only there was a way for me to join (sighs)...Unless I sacrifised that whole day on Malaspina Coach Lines and get off and return on route 3. Only thing is it would cost ALOT and the wait for the next bus would be too long.

We should meet by the terminal building at around 1:30pm by the departures area. If anyone else has a better meeting spot let us know.

Yes we will. I am very tempted to let Graham use the D70 and give him a taste of an SLR. We composes shots very well. I am taking the 257 (slower one) at 12:23PM from Granville and Georgia, arriving at 1:16 at the arrivals/depatures footpasenger building. I am a slow walker due to my disabilities (CP, etc) and need a good 10 minutes to walk tot he berth and don't want to be rushing.
Karl, are you driving from Canada Place or busing?

My plan is to take the one that gets me in at 1PM. I'll be transferring at Park Royal from the 246 aka "Highland Bus." We'll likely see eachother on the 257. (you know what I look like my pic is in my avater). And to answer you second question re: Park Royal. It is a Park and Ride, but it is not a formal bus loop. |

Ok, you know what I look like to meet up with me. Strange question, but I am a sun hater so avoid it like the plague, is sunscreen recommended? I never wear it since I hate color, cancer and tanning and the sun so I am only our when connecting to the bus etc. |

I really hate to do this, but I have no choice but to cancel out pretty much at the last second. I couldn't get time off work, because the company I work for right now is short staffed right now, due to two workers quiting just recently. Plus I started working full time this week, so I'm pretty much one of the only dedicated people of the company now...anyways, like any of you care about my work situation.
Again, sorry, maybe next time.
I will definitely be attending the Galiano trip though!

Hee hee, uh oh. Something came up, my mother says we need to drive and park at Horseshoe Bay. Now I know there'll be parking there, but not very much.
BTW, I'm going early, like in an hour or so I'll start heading down there.

Alright - just got back, an excellent trip indeed. The forum members were awesome (meeting for the first time) and overall made for a great trip (and so did the weather).
Photos will be uploaded through the evening under Queen of Surrey.
