Is Anyone Free next Thursday or Friday? Cause I'll be in Nanaimo so maybe some of us could arrange a tour and get on the Queen of Cowichan on Route 2 for a round trip if anyone wants to join I might be able to get on.

I would like to, but I have no plans of going to Nanaimo on Easter Friday.

I'm going to the Island hopefully either this Wednesday or Thursday. I haven't decided which route to take though!

I won't be able to join you guys. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday my friend and me are practicing for our first gig. I wish I could go though.

I'm free on Fridays, and I have a travel bug. However, I'm on the Island, and prefer Nanaimo-Horseshoe Bay.

I could probably do Friday. Thursday, I have an exam in the morning from 9-12 and it is impossible to get from Cap College to HSB in 30 minutes for a 12:30, and a 3PM is too late. so that is out.

I think it would have to be Friday and one of the Morning Sailings like 10:30 from Nanaimo. and 12:30 from HSB. Plus While I'm in Nanaimo I can get some pics of the Quinsam in service

Hmm, a few things kind of holding me back big time on this tour.... - 4 Hours trip
- It's a Friday, plus its Good Friday, meaning it will be quite busy
- On the Queen of Cowichan (too crowded)
- Good way to be sick of the Ferries
- Pay about $40 (Fare, Parking, and Lunch)
I don't mean to shoot the whole idea down, but it just seems kind of awkward doing this tour. What about a trip on the finally part of the Fleet again, Quinsam?

I should be on the Island Wednesday evening anyway, and I'll be driving as well. So no need to take the bus. Plus, I'm going to be in Ladysmith, and the only bus from there is like 10 bucks each way, so where's the savings in that if I drive to Nanaimo, which is faster, and most likely, somewhat cheaper. Too bad gas is over a dollar now though, but I guess we can't complain, as the Europeans are paying 3 times as much as we do for petrol!

When you guys do your expeditions, do you pay both ways? Whenever my wife's sister comes out from Winterpeg, they take the ferry over to Swartz Bay, and just stay on after paying for one way. I tell them that eventually they'll get caught, and then they'll feel like a couple of bums getting thrown off the skytrain.

I tell them that eventually they'll get caught, and then they'll feel like a couple of bums getting thrown off the skytrain. You don't want to mess with Translink Cops... Recently one of their members was found, by a judge, to have assaulted a passenger... ...so don't mess with the sky-pigs ( just kidding, of course. Those fine officers help stop some of the crime that passes through one of the highest-capacity crimimal-element-conduits of the lower mainland, that would otherwise further the negative elements of our fine corner of the world even more... also of note, they *finally* have almost full-police-capabilities, giving them power to arrest, access-to and authority-to-execute warrants, carry firearms, leave Translink property to arrest, etc )As a side note: Our fines *pale* in comparisson to similar gateless-systems aound North America.

The skytrain cops have their place, that's for sure. When I use to take the second or third train west out of Scott Road station every morning, I swear that a few of my fellow passengers looked like thay were just coming home from a rather different type of job than what I was going to.

You've probably passed my dad's old college room-mate along your route many times... he's a morning shift Skytrain Police Officer, and works at that time.

Due to undesirable circumstances on the smaller Queen of Cowichan i.e. extreme crowds, my dad is unwilling to take me on the tour.
However, I will try to get myself a roundtrip on the Bowen Queen to Langdale and back.
Thank-you for your understanding.

I'm sure we could do all do a Langdale Cruise on the Bowen Queen. That'd be fun.

My plans are still up in the air for this weekend anyway. So.......if I'm on the Island, does anyone wanna do a Quinsam tour? If I don't go to the Island, I'll go on the Bowen Queen to Langdale.
