Well, if she does pull in, I hope I can get to Swartz Bay in time to see her, maybe get her horn, to save chris the trouble of doing that.

You better plan on a late evening. The Bowen Queen did not leave Swartz Bay untill late in the evening around 10 or 11 both this time and the last time it took the Quinsam's place.
As there is only one berth and only enough space for one ferry at Descanso Bay the Quinsam will have to wait untill the Bowen Queen unloads from the last sailing from Nanaimo which is 10:55pm.
Unlike Blubber Bay (judging from the pictures) where up to three vessles share the same berth there is no room at Descanso Bay as the dock is very close to the shore.

Yeah the Berth at Blubber Bay is a floating one the Decanso one isn't so at Blubber Bay it's possible. So the Quinsam coming back to Gabriola would be overnight my guess either that or they would have the Bowen do the last sailing then the Quinsam comes into the dock the Bowen left, Or they anchor the Quinsam outside Decanso Bay the Bowen Does the last sailing then leaves and the Quinsam goes into the dock and resumes service

Don't forget about Departure Bay. They've used berth 1 to park the Quinsam there before. So maybe they'll park it there, and then do the last sailing with the Quinsam the evening before it's supposed to go back into service, and then have the Bowen either go straight to Departure Bay, or back to Saltspring.

It would be nice if he could get some photos of the SOVI so we could see what is going on.

Yeah in North Vancouver. She went before going to Deas I seem to remember though? It was a long time ago, I may very well be wrong.

Yeah, once the Oak Bay was done in the drydock for that part of the refit, they placed the SOBC there. The SOBC was also at Deas for about a month until going to the drydock. So if they want to get the SOVI in the drydock, and have her back in service again for the 28th, they better get on it. I was on the pier at the pier at Lonsdale last weekend to see the progress of the Surrey, but I couldn't tell if they were doing any drydock work still. Also, all of the solarium windows have been removed. So the solariums look kind of funny being a big white skeleton.
