It was built in pieces in Salt Lake City, Utah, and put together on Lake Powell, also in Utah.

If it's such a small event, and there's no potential for controversy, then why would Engineer be asked to withhold the photos??

Because generally companies do that as a protectionary measure... You don't release pictures of your equipment chopped up and sliced apart. That said I realize the V Class photos are available on the ship's but that's very different in a. it happened long ago and b. was an accomplishemnt to be proud of.
Just like RR ploice get pissed when you take pictures of new Equip in transit. While it's possible to do, you don't
Translink's new Trolleye 2101 was the same the first week it was in Van. The only pics you could see were shot through a fence even though some employs had interior shots.

But, according to Engineer, those pics will be released:
"I have pictures of the Burr being taken out of the water and *cut up*, unfortunately I have been asked not to let them out to the pubic *yet*. As soon as its ok I will post them"

... just like the types of pcitures I was stating will be relased.
Another example, when CPR's 2816 was being rebuilt it was hard to get photos and such, and Company people weren't allowed to release them. Now there is a two part DVD set you can buy on it whowing very detailed photos.

I just saw an article in the Time Colonist about her. They had a photo of her out of the water on one of those big trailer things. Still in one piece. But they said she should be here before Christmas all the pieces which will go to Allied Shipyards.

It was yesterday's paper which was Tuesday the 22nd. The Times Colonist is on Douglas street just past Hillside if your coming into town. There is a Petro Canada across the street. I think that is where it is!
