Someone who knows the answer to this said it was a Super "V" Class.

I think Super B Class, or maybe NW Class.

I checked the BCF website and it is a class of its own.

Yeah, they definitely don't consider it a V-Class, and they don't really consider it a B-Class anymore, and as far as I know they just have a class by itself. But if it were up to me, I'd still consider it a B-Class, or even a Super B I guess.

I think of the New West as Super V as someone else mentioned. But even before that I just considered the New West a V class like the other V's!

Shares a hull with the Vs and Bs. Everything else is different. It's also getting like $17 million for various interior work and vibration reduction. I'm not sure if that is what is happening now, or next year.
It's not a class of its own, it's one-of-a-kind.

Although I chose B-Class in the poll, I'd have to agree with you, Dane, and consider it one-of-a-kind. Does anyone know (or remember) what the V-Class were considered before being lifted (or even stretched, for that matter)?
