What routes should Harbourlynx open up when the company gets new ships? I myself vote for Swartz Bay-YVR

I agree with my sister, Swartz bay to Vancouver International airport, then it is easier for my family to get to england, and costs less, then also is easier for my relatives to come to Sidney.

Whoever voted for the two northern routes really voted for the "bankruptcy option". The $50 000 per sailing fuel bill alone would kill them.

I don't know how you run high speed ferries between Tofino and Ucluelet since you'd have to go around over the open ocean and you can drive it in 20 minutes. And I'm not sure why you'd want to connect Vancouver International Airport to Victoria International Airport (Swartz Bay) when airplanes are much more convenient and not much more expensive. There's not enough people in Bella Bella to make it worthwhile.
Put another one on Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay if it's making money. Maybe you could do one from YVR or Downtown Vancouver to a bunch of the Gulf Islands? Or one that would do a Comox - Nanaimo - Vancouver triangle run? Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Victoria... maybe, it's been tried before and failed.. but maybe with higher BC Ferry prices it would work now.

John jet fuel has risen in price and airfares went up by 3x so right now is not best time to fly unless there is a jet fuel refinery in canada

I'd say Swartz Bay to YVR would be good route. Although what would be the point when you can fly to YVR from YYJ?

Well, it only costs about 10-20 bucks more to fly to Nanaimo from Vancouver than it does to take Harbourlynx. I can't see there being much difference between that route and any other route.

I've got an idea. Extend the RAV line one more station.. to the float plane terminal at YVR. Then you build a passenger-ferry terminal. Then you have high speed ferry to Nanaimo, Victoria, Gulf Islands (probably shave off 30 minutes on a ferry trip). Then you jump on the RAV line.. head into town.
Then you could use BC's natural waterways (ie. the Fraser River) and have some sort of passenger ferry from the terminal at YVR (and a RAV line terminal) up the river to New Westminster, Surrey, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Mission, Abbotsford. This would hook up commuters to either the Skytrain at New Westminster or the RAV at YVR.
Another thing that might work is high speed ferry from Port Moody to Downtown Vancouver.. or maybe just a Seabus type ship. But you've already got the West Coast Express as competition on that route.

That is good idea, RAV line from Waterfront to the Floatplane terminal, build a rock dock there and have the passengers walk on the HSF(High Speed Ferry) and the ferry then goes down the fraser and down through boundary pass/active pass and then arrive at Swartz Bay, it will be a good thing to see, you are on BCF's Spirit, and the Harbourlynx races past! LOL Actually, I wonder if Harbourlynx can purchase the Super Sea Cats(England-France High speed service) This is a Seacat: Super Sea cat:

I Doubt we ever would. just because of the cost of having a European Vessel in canada, Parts would be non existant, But dont hold your breath, you may see a Harbourlynx In and around victoria soon enough! (not telling when, but a hint : Not at least for anohter 3 or 4 years)

Those routes suck. I voted for Bella Bella just for kicks. Something like Gibsons or Sechelt to Vancouver Harbour would make more sense.
This is all a moot point. Any route worth being served by Harbourlynx is already served by float planes with more frequent service. There isn't the population base to be served by a fleet of high speed ferries. A float plane with 6-16 passengers is much more flexible in ports of call and profitability. That's why there are many float plane operations.

Oh I see, well I hope that I can go on the Lynx sometime in January, I might take the Dayliner from Victoria at 8:00am, get to Nanaimo at about 10:50am, then get on the 11 o'clock ferry from Nanaimo, and go to Vancouver, then I will come back on the 3:00pm Sailing from Tsawwassen 2/3 days later.

I hope that Harbourlynx can run from Swartz bay to YVR, or maybe even Swartz Bay to White Rock.
