OMG Quinsam's first Breakdown, although it did leak in the hull. If Quinsam picked up Debris then the other boats might have got debris too.

it could still run on 3 RADs', but they choose not to so that they have time to change out the prop

yeah, it is only grass and stuff caught in the propellor

Post by NMcKay on Aug 23, 2005 12:12:26 GMT -8
no. it was probably a log or something

Post by Quinsam on Aug 23, 2005 12:25:22 GMT -8
debris is not a log, debris is Grass and Leaves, maybe twigs

Debris could be anything, a dead bird, a crashed air plane, a log or anything else.

yep, I'm assuming that a log hit the RAD of the Quinsam. Only something like that would require the need for a propeller replacement.

bring 1 of the Pacificats back for service on the Tsawwassen to DP run, then there will be less logs to damage vessel's RAD units. Or maybe the Tsawwassen to SB Run, that will make sure the Cumbie don't get hit again.

i dont think grass, leaves, twigs would wreck a propeller

yeah, the lynx has a wierd ability to find every single log in the straight, and suck it into her inlet port..

Post by Quinsam on Aug 23, 2005 15:21:51 GMT -8
you mean suck it in between the hulls, you have two hulls on your boat.

quinsam the fast cats and harbourlynx suck water in through in impeller and out the rear to propel them. like a jetski

Post by Quinsam on Aug 23, 2005 15:43:30 GMT -8
oh, I thought it goes through the hull hole and through the propellor, where the log is shredded by the propellor.

Actualy it is a barge but it has engines so it is not a floating or sinking barge But most Minor Vessels are just barges with car decks and lounges, the Cumbie is not, but the Bowen is, the Skeena kind of is and the Mill bay is a very old historical vessel.

You know, I never should have said Quinsam has never had probs with her RAD Units, then I might say the Bowen never has probs and then it has problems!
