no they shouldent! The live singers are bad enough during the summer! Some people like peace and quiet when they travel! We dont need music playing except for in the gift shops! I dont even think we need the TV screens on the SOBC and Oaky! I was on the SOVI last night and it was a nice quiet sailing! No TV screens going! Nice and quiet!

I think that John should create a kid's page, for their simple chit chat.
Sorry, I'm in a crappy mood, and I don't have time for some of these kiddie-posts.
Not that I'm super intelligent....but it seems to be getting a bit crazy lately, with some unrealistic, low-level postings.
Help: I need a Brian-Williams post to read.....
I think our avitars should have a symbol for either "serious adult" or "silly kid" (or blazin' teenager).....so we don't waste our time replying to someone in an intelligent fashion.....when they have a 13-year-old perspective on things.
Am I proving myself Fenkelbaum-worthy in this rant yet ?
Flame away.....

What's the matter Flugel Horn?? The heat getting to you??? Tends to make people crabby sometimes if it's too hot out!

Sorry guys, no vote from cranky ol' me.
On busy routes, there's enough audio pollution leaking from iPod and Walkman earpieces; and the bleeps, screams and explosions heard while passing the arcade.
The real BCF audio experience is the deep hum of diesels far below; the swish of seawater along the hull, crying gulls, hoots and tweets from passing boats, and the ferry's own stentorian horn.
Leaving Swartz Bay for Fulford on Skeena Queen this May, the skipper played the canned safety message, then added his live ad-lib:
"We're going to sound the horn in a moment. It's loud, no ... it's REALLY loud. Watch out."

Yeah, I heard Skeena's Horn when I was right next to her a few weeks ago at the dock, I was allowed to watch the ferries from where the cars go!

i agree. ienjoy just listening to the sounds of a ship as work. which is why i prefer to sit in the lower aft loung on the lynx, cause its cool to have all those noises jumping about. and the lynx doesn't have any compressed air on board, so she has an electric horn, which sounds worse than my car.
