Question Time - Students?
1. Does BC Ferries have a "Ferry Club" for kid's ? Under 13 in age.
2. Does BC Ferries - give out group discounts and how many are required for a group rate?
3. If a "Ferry Club" writes to HQ of BC Ferries - can they arrange Engine room and bridge visits - if plan in advance?
These are the standard things that clubs in Europe do and the Marketing department of Ferry operators love them - the Best PR in the world.
Does Harbourlynx have a club system in there marketing budget and if not why not???

i dont think they have a club system. but group books are yes. i think if you get 30 or more, it becomes the same price as BCF.....ill have to chek on that though.

I'd be happy to pay a yearly fee if I was given access to tours, discounts, etc. in return.

OK - then why not approach the Marketing Department of BC Ferries and see what they say?
Maybe "Harbourlynx" should look at forming a Club scheme for Boat lovers - would gen a lot of good PR for them....What would the underlining cost be to Harbourlynx - it would come out of there marketing budget...

Well I suggested to HarbourLynx Teen to see if HarbourLynx would sponser a forum on ViewBCFerries.com forum with logo on main page and HL ads on their forum. Would help build a community for HarbourLynx fans.

I don't really understand why companies in the transport business don't have club schemes - as it encourages people with families to travel with them. In Europe it is the done thing.
The cost is so small for the return you get. I though that America - Canada were ahead on all things marketing related. I guess not...
So the field is wide open for Harbourlynx to form the first club - of regular riders and there families and score points which lead to discounts on the future trips when they take their Kids or Grand children.... build up ridership loyalty. Brand awareness sort of springs to mind.
A little different with BC Ferries - as they are the only operator - so far - hence no need for "brand" loyalties ...yet...
