Looking at the Horseshoe Bay cam, she is sitting in one of the berths, not the Marina. That's the Surrey. She's in the dock, and the Oak Bay is grounded. It's live on TV.

Well, no loss. Everyone on the ferry seems to be okay, and they say the grounding was pretty smooth, smoother than docking.
It was only a bunch of rich people's boats anyways, so no loss there.

yeah. looks like when she was coming into dock, the Engine would not initiate reverse. so the captain decided to turn to the right insted of wrecking the dock.

Yeah, she probably would of been smashed if she hit the dock instead. It must of been a hard choice for the captain to make! to the hit the dock or the marina...

Not a hard choice. Multi Million dollar dock, Couple of hundred thousand dollar Boats. i would have made the same choice. if she had hit the dock at the same rate. there would be some massive injuries, and the ship would probably be OOC for the next 6 months. this is like 2 weeks. MAX

True, true, was anyone watching BCTV when they had Samantha Falk explaining what was going on and she was at a viewpoint on the Sea to Sky and watching the Surrey leave? The Surrey sure has a pale white compared to the bright white on Oak Bay.

That's incredible!
An impact with boats would be less jarring for the ship and the passengers than an impact with the dock.
