Nobody can help an engine failiure from happening. Like engine fires, can you stop them occuring at all?

An engine failure that made her go off course and crash into the Marina area

The Oak Bay lost power coming around the corner into Horseshoe Bay and then smashed into the marina

They have canceled one round trip so far, probably for the rest of the day until they can find what caused the engine failure, and if there is any damage to the ship. At least the Coq is there to make extra sailings, although I doubt they take the Esquimalt off of Langdale. I'm surprised they don't have a service notice up yet.

Hey wasn't Oak Bay supposed to get repairs last Monday? and have the Coq take over for a bit? I don't think they did that.

well...for one thing....why did they only have one engine running, 2 how did the steering fail. 3. How could this happen to a ship right out of Drydock?

Looking at the Horseshoe Bay cam, she is sitting in one of the berths, not the Marina.
