They could even use C-Class on the Gulf Islands theres no need to double ramp berths Yeah but it would take longer to load with that articulating ramp, and you need something that can transit the active pass effectively, and manoever through tricky channels like Long Harbour. So the C class won't do on the Gulf Islands.

the saanich is consider an emergancy vessel for route 9 if it is ever needed. this is something because to my knowledge none of the crew are qualified on her. ya she may be just a double decked nanny but that is the outside. once you get inside the emergency equipment may be completley different. you need a vessel that can go through active pass and into long harbour

C Class wouldent work in the gulf islands. I think they would be too big as they wouldent fit the docks in the gulf islands. The raised V class are practically the same width so they could fit just as well as the Nanny!

There isn't enough traffic to use a double decked ferry in the Gulf Islands (A C-Class or a V-Class), and they would have to rebuild all the docks. One another note, I have heard of the "articulating ramps" on the C-Class boats, how do these work?

Thats where and how they only use them at Langdale because most of the Berths are double ramped at other terminals

So it makes it so you can get from the upper car deck to the gallery car deck?

Yes but other way around, the decks from the top down are: Deck 7: Both Bridges Deck 6: Upper Outer Passenger Deck Deck 5: Passenger Deck Deck 4: Upper Car Deck ] both are accessed via articulating ramps Deck 3: Galley Deck } ] Deck 2: Bottom Car Deck }both are accessed via ramps Deck 1: Engine Room

BCFS disagrees, summer overloads have merrited them looking into a V class for upper-deck service to Salt Spring ONLY. The lower deck would be used for all destinations loading.

That would be interesting? Would they make a new ramp at Long Harbour, Fulford or make a new terminal?

would love to see a double deck loading ramp at long harbour. as the road to scott point runs right thru the terminal i see this as almost impossible to do.

could someone photoshop it? Like take an image of the side of a double ramp and post it in Long Harbour shot?

The Super Century's? aren't they going to look like Skeena Queen? Although the super C's are going to look similar with the original C's.
The C Class could run Tswwassen-southern gulf islands when the Nanaimo retires, but as I said I like the Mill bay, the mill bay might look good going through active pass, just build another berth for her at the terminals of Village bay/Mayne island and Galiano island, I thought it carried 18 cars, not 16.

Hate to break it to you Harry, but BC Ferries isn't running ferries for looks, they're doing it for the public and profit.

yes, I knew that, M.V Mill bay is a piece of BCF History and my Dad has suggested that we buy it; if it is a low price, e.g $2000/$4500, $5000 maybe the most, we might have our own little ferry service of our own, dad is a mechanic and is very good at engineering(when his hands are healthy). I would like to give the mill bay another good life, I suggested using it as a camping boat, and sleep under the stars on the vehicle deck when it's not raining, Mum doesn't like the cold, so she will probably sleep in the lounge downstairs, how do you attach pics to this page now? I have heard there is an attach button to add a pic off the Hard drive, how do you do it please? Anyway back to the Mill bay, she deserves another good life, I would like to buy the boat, and dad is an almost expert sailer.
