WestJet, Victoria 11:15am Sunday, Calgary 4:05pm Sunday, 7pm Friday the 29th and probably the SOBC coming back from Tsawwassen on Saturday the 30th. I know WestJet a little off the ferry topic. But we are flying out to sunny California on Sunday for the week. Flying back to Vancouver on the 29th then taking the ferry home on the 30th. Maybe the 10am Queen of Saanich but most likely the 11am SOBC.

Hey HL Kid, I think I saw the MV Harboulynx coming into Vancouver at around 1PM, while I was at Ambleside at my year end Ski Wee party.

Sweet, you'll be on the new SOBC! If you want a newspaper, snacks, starbucks coffee, and a comfortable seat in an almost unused lounge, consider the SeaWest lounge for $7.
When I was on the SOBC 7am out of Tsawwassen yesterday, I found it worth the money after reading (and taking with me) the Vancouver Sun and the Globe and Mail, eating a muffin, a danish, and a piece of bannana bread, having a couple cups of Starbucks (I loooove their coffee) and sitting in a very comfortable seat, with only two other people in the entire lounge. You even have the choice between sitting in a high-back window seat, high-back reclining seat, or in cafe style seating.
P.S. I got pictures of the new lounge, and will be posting them (along with pics of the Nanny at SB, the Seaspan Dorris at SB and transiting Active Pass, and the Queen of Tsawwassen at Sturdies and Village Bays) on my webshots site

And I guess that's another benefit to the SeaWest Lounge: it won't be as crowded as the rest of the ship, due to the 10k on sunday

funny you have to pay $7 to go into the end-of-ship cafeteria on SOBC, yet you don't have to on SOVI.

harry that is because it is a pay per use lounge on the sobc. this includes beverages(not the kind i would enjoy though) newspapers, and some pastires. on the sovi you have to pay for what you want on it. up until january this area on the sobc was just a sitting lounge like the rest of the ship now it is this. the sovi has at the cafe on the stern lounge for a few years.
will be on route 1 from tsawwassen on the 4pm sailing on may 20 and then the 7pm route 4 sailing from fulford on the same day. fyi anybody doing this route on friday or saturday morning might want to make a reservation. it will be nuts asa there is a big mens and womens soccer tournament on saltspring on the may long weekend. if you are a footpassenger they will be strictly enforcing that you have to go up to the foot passenger toll booth and exchange your thru fare for a boarding pass. you may not make it on the next available sailing but they will more than likely not even be running according to the schedule and will add another sailing at the end of the night. this is all based on experiance from last year on the may long weekend

try and get there at least one hour before your wanted sailing, I got to Swartz bay 15 minutes after the ferry left, and got on a ferry late, 8:00pm (Unexpected sailing) when aiming for S class 0n the 7:00pm Ferry.

As for my Skeeter trip, I will be on the route 2 sailing at 12:30PM out of HSB. My original Intent was to be on the 10:30 Queen of Coquitlam, but I had to reschedule due to a Geography 12 exam at 8:30AM that day, and I'm on Bike for this trip.
Oh man, man, I'm looking forward to it!
