Nice ;D It looks like it has a elevator well on top of the solarium or it might be another thing in the background

Hey! I like your Avatar Chris! Do you have a full size pic of that?(looks great!) Yeah it looks pretty cool, I want to try doing that on either Cowichan or Coquitlam, but it's hard trying to draw in the arms or visors or whatever they were called instead of the gates on the upper car deck. Here's the full size, I hope this works. www.geocities.com/ferryman162000/oakbay81.JPG

Hey New West, Is that white table still up at the top of the Q tower? Some friends and I were considering throwing it off of there but there were security guards around so we decided to try it another time. NOT cool!

We probably won't do it. Maybe some delinquents who go to Carson Graham Secondary will do itl sometime in the next few weeks.

Re: Queen of Oak Bay:
I was passing through Lonsdale Quay today, and took some pics of the Oaky. I don't know if it's been mentioned on this forum yet, but apparently, unless they have the same shape as the old round ones, the Oaky did not get fire-windows at the bow and stern below the pilot houses. I have pics, and will post a couple (along with a bunch of others) tomorow.

It looks to me as if the fire window confiig is almost identical to other Cs

The reason that I thought that they might put fire windows below the pilot houses is the massive hole they put in the passenger deck at those windows (presumably to load materials through the hole), and becuase they replaced the windows below the pilot house with fire windows on the ageing Queen of Tsawwassen; I thought, after the window replacements on the Tsawwassen, that it was a new standard (i.e. why the Coq and Cow didn't get them, before they set the new standard).

the fire windows on the ferries are the windows closest to where the evacuation stations are. the last thing you want it an evacuation area burning up with flames from inside the ship

I know, but I thought that they were starting to protect all the pilot houses from fire as well, as they did on the Tsawwassen.

Does anyone know if/when they're gonna have the ceremony to bring Queen of Oak Bay is going to be? Because I really want to go and get a tour of her before she goes into service again. I think last year with the Cowichan they had it like end of May or Start of June or something.

I'm assuming he means the car deck windows. Good, don't close them (or at least make them the same on both ends), they look better with more.
