Hmm I'm gonna have to try those notes on my piano. That's neat that you got to blow that horn, *jealous* lol. That's weird that it's a big handle, I thought it would be a button. I remember going up on Queen of Newwestminsters bridge a few years back and asking where the horn was and the captain or mate or whoever was manning the ship that day pointed out a button that was sortof by the throttle on the right or starboard side of the ship. Hey Karl, you blew Queen of Victoria's horn, what did you have to do to blow the horn? Pull a handle or push a button? On the photo of you when you were eleven on the bridge of the Alberni.. If you take a look over top of the mate sitting in the chair, the handle right above him is the horn..

On the c class ships, there is a handle located above and to the right of the the quartermaster. It sounds each individual horn in succession as you pull harder. Also, there are buttons located in 2 or 3 different positions on the bridge. In conjunction with these buttons, there is another button which selects whistle tones, either 1 or 3 horns. Also in this button cluster is a timer for sounding the whistle at regular intervals in restricted visability.

Yeah I did get to blow the horn on the Queen of Victoria as we entered active pass from Tsawwassen. Honestly, I cannot remember what it was that you did to make the horn sound. I thought it was a button or something as this was like way back in like 97 I think. I can picture being up there and the horn sounding though. Not sure how I did it though.
