Personally, I'm a Jan 1, 2001 guy. Since there was no year 0, this is the only one that makes sense. (Jan 1, 1 AD) + 2000 = (Jan 1, 2001 AD)
I also would like to see the new ferry built here. I expect they probably will, since it wouldn't really be worth it to build just one ferry overseas and bring it all the way here. With the Super-C, they're at least building several.

this is how the system will work when they get this over with. This new ship will take over Bowen Island so the Cap can take over Saltery Bay again...continue tommrrow need to go to bed

A few years ago there was lots of interest about what to build , style wise? their plan was to build a Skeena class with a lounge under the wheel house, same style as the Cumberland. But havent heard a word since? I heard they put it out to bids to the local shipyards, but the bids all came back costing too much, so it was but on the back burner.

But they should do this build two Mini C-Class to replace the Burn and Tsawwassen give the Cap gallery decks/ramps than build a north vessel to replace the Chilli and Build another Mini C (without gallery decks/ramps) for relief maybe that plan should be put into action

That sounds like a good Idea, besides, the 'Wack is apparently quite rickety.

The Wack does have gallery decks/ramps

shes a cool looking ship. but i can see how they'd want to have a few years with only ships built in BC.

Heres something what if someone said no ship could be more awful than the Queen of Chilliwack plus no panoramic view they should majorly refit her to have a lounge on the upper deck where crew area is

Somehow I think that the founding-premier of BC Ferries, Mr. Bennett, would like to keep the 'Wack.....something to do with the name (WAC - 'Wack).
I think the charm of the 'wack is it's quirky character, and definately it's summer trip to the mid-coast, with a friendly crew, and super scenery, and world-travellers on board.
As a short-haul ship, she's narrow and crowded. As a long-haul adventure ship with the summer crowd, slowing travelling up burke channel, she's a simple beauty. Lots of climbing up & down steep stairs/ladders, but you are treated with glacier-green seas and towering mountains, and silly-tales being told by the captain & crew.

Travelling on the 'Wack in the summer must be interesting and fun. It sounds like an experience that is very different from any other BCF route. I love hearing crazy stories anyway.

Yeah, that would be an interesting trip on the Chilliwack to Bella Coola. I wouldent mind doing that trip one summer. Then take that highway to Williams Lake.
