What is everyone favorite ferry food or meal in the Caferteria's?? For both breakfast and dinner?? This is just for the Cafeteria not the Buffet or Snack Bars.
For me breakfast in the Cafeteria I usually either get the breakfast bunwich or, darn it, I cant remember the name, used to be the Sunshine Breakfast, what ever it is called now.
For dinner either White Spot BC Combo or Legendary, also the Chicken Strips and fries I actually just tried last night on the SOBC and they were pretty good. I dident think they would be but they were. This is if you like ferry food!

For me it depends on the Vessel and the time of day.
For Breakfast, I like the good old Sunshine Breakfast, but I haven't had breakfast on a ferry in a long time. The last time I had breakfast on a ferry was on the Queen of Tsawassen on my way back to Vancouver when I was 13.
For lunch/dinner, I'll usually eat a burger combo of some sort.
If I'm on my annual trip to Saltspring Island with one of my best friends, I have a tradition. We always reserve for the 12:15PM departure on Saturday direct to Long Harbour. I always go to the Cafeteria, and get a Bacon Burger and a coke and then I sit down at a window seat on the Port Side of the vessel and eat. I've done this for the past 3 years! Good times on Saltspring...

I would assume that would be on the Nanny??? Do they actually have burger combo's on the ferries like the Nanny and Burnaby, and the Tsawwassen that dont have the actual White Spot burgers?? I havent been in the Cafeteria's that much on the Nanny Burnaby or Tsawwassen so I wouldent know. I think they would of cause what did the ferries have before White Spot??

Oh ya, they still have the old cafeteria with all the old BCF menu items, including the good old Sunshine Breakfast.
I find the Hollandaise Sauce on the Queen of Burnaby tastes abit odd, it's quite lemony, and it makes the eggs really jiggly, and they get very amusing when the ship is taking off with the vibrations that make it feel like there's an earthquake on board.

I know that there were alot of burger combos, and that's all I remember because that's all I ever really order. It may seem unhealthy, but it doesn't matter for someone who is my age and has high metabolism.

Most of my crew bring their own meals in to work. Can't imagine living very long existing on a diet of White Spot Triple O's and fries. Most of us do like the soups though. Chicken Vegetable and Beef Barley. Not too big on the Butternut Squash.

Chicken Vegetable and Beef Barley soups are pretty good. I remember the last time I was on the Nanny, which was my first time, when I boarded at Otter Bay as soon as I got up top I could smell something good in the Cafeteria, must of been one of those soups on the go.

In the morning I love getting the big sticky bun. That is the best. But for lunch and dinner I always get the BC Burger and fries but that's all I really ever get. Oh and with the old menu I used to get the pancakes. Those were the best there was I think 3 or 4 pancakes stacked on top of each other. Too bad they don't have it anymore Good times good times!

For breakfast I like to have the bunwich with hash browns. Glenn likes the island breakfast because it has waffles.

One item they still dont have on the SOBC is Villages Pizza. They do on the Naniamo ferries, and I thought they would now on the SOBC.

That's odd. You'd expect route 1 to have more menu items than on route 2 in the main Cafeteria.

White Spot - what a joke - my sister worked at one of them - in Victoria - and she never eat anything there.
Now I am going back in time here - but as kid's I know my parents loved it - as it kept us quiet - that was the Clam Chower. We always talked about which type - either the red one or the cream one.
The Burgers were crap - tasted like sawdust.
On the early Queens - the galley staff were all Chinese. I have seen a few pictures of them. They came out of China Town in Victoria - my dad use to know a few of them and when we travel - they would show us kids around in the Kitchen.
Another thing - you order your meal then - it was brought to your table - none of this cueing. But still have very fond menories of the Clam Chower.
Was out at Xmas time (2004) - did some skiing and then went across to visit parents - was telling my friends about the Clam Chower - so we all order.(8 bowls) we never finished it. Plus the vessel was full - cars - but only about 12 to 15 people eating - and they were only really drinking coffee.
I guess that sums up the food.

I guess Cascade would rather see MC Donalds on the ferries then than White Spot?? White Spot has good food. The burgers are pretty good. If we could have fast food on the ferries what would it be?

That would add another location to the golden arches (Mc Donalds) i've seen that movie super size me and they point out where Mc Donalds are... Walmarts, gas stations, even hospitals ferries would add another location to the list of where Mc Donalds are

Most of the Wal Marts do have MC Donalds in them. But MC Donalds is worldwide. White Spot has BC history I think but I am not sure. Although I thought sure I saw a White Spot in Edmonton once. So I doubt we would ever get Mc Donalds on the ferries, not now anyways.

White Spot originated right here in Vancouver. Most restaurants are in BC, but there are a few in Alberta.

For breakfast I like the Belgium waffles, lunch is original burger from White Spot and dinner is pretty much the same. I don't have much variety on what I eat, I'm usually outside enjoying the wind.

There's a Triple O's (fast food version of WS) at the Jubilee hospital in Edmonton, I read it on my place mat this afternoon (I ate at the one on Granville). I'm surving on a Original Carhop diet It's the only good food at school aside from our new sushi joint. I hate BC Ferries salads, well, I hate the price. I haven't even eaten one because they're so friggin expensive. Villages is a local company, maybe that's why they're not on route 1? Does the Spirit of VI have the pizza? Generally I feel white spot has really raised the ferry food bar. I always hated the food when I was a kid but now it just tastes like any place on land. The clamchowder is overpriced, but I got the recipe and make it at home when I can get cheap, fresh clams.

I thought Villages Pizza was a Victoria company?? Cause we do have Villages Pizza here in Victoria, one or two I think cause I remember going to a little joint in Saanichton once. So it's wierd that the Naniamo ferries have them. But I thought I did read somewhere they had Villages at the food outlet at Swartz Bay which is wierd why they dont have the them on the ferries. Maybe I am wrong, and just dident see it when I was in the Cafeteria.
