We will be leaving the dock shortly after 08:00 to start sea trials, if anybody lives close by with a camera. If all goes well we will heading back to Swartz Bay on Friday. Spend the week end giving her a good cleaning, Fueling on Monday and back on the run for Tuesday.

You never seen them? whoa, I see them all the time on the ferries. There good little vaccums too. My mom bought one for her business so that's her's you see there. I have used it. I saw two on the Vancouver the other night.
Henry, the Vaccums of the BC Ferries fleet!! I think they look kind of neat with the little smiley face. I wonder who decided on that.
Those Vaccums are actually made in England. I have seen one at the Ramada Inn in Kelowna so it's not just the ferries that have them.

Mr Engineer, what the heck were you guys doing way out by Race Rocks today??? We flew over the Cumbie about two times and did a plane wave to you guys. When we left home this morning we passed the gravel pit and we saw Cumbie out there. How long were you out there for??? So what time are you guys leaving for Swartz Bay tommorrow and how long does it take to get there? Just curious!

Yeah I knew you guys were doing sea trials. I dident expect to see the Cumbie was out there though. I thought you would be closer to Victoria. But that was kind of neat to see her in the Jaun De Fuca Strait.

Due to the dock closure at Sturdies Bay, Galiano Island, the 5:30 weekday departure of the Cumbie (Q. of Cumberland) is re-scheduled for 6:10 am until March 11. See the notice @: www.bcferries.com/schedules/notices/notice02180504.htmlI called BC Ferries' toll-free number to ask about why all sailings weren't adjusted to compensate for the time it would normally take to transit active pass. They informed me that they found it easier to keep the schedules the same. Apparently the schedule will be maintained by having ferries wait until the scheduled departure time when early due to not having to stop at Galiano. I asked in regards to the Swartz Bay to Southern Gulf Islands sailings, though. Is this the case with the Queen of Nanaimo as well?

ah, that's right, I fogot about that. But then why does the current conditions still say 5:30am departure?? Making it look like the Cumbie is late. That person who does the current conditions should be informed of that.
