Well for me I was just using a Olympus Digital Camera. It is ok, but it's not that great for zooming as alot of the photos arent that clear from zoom shots. But we also have another Digital Camera and it's a Sony Cybershot. It takes way better photos especially when zooming. So that is basically what I have been using recently. Nothing fancy though.
And yes flying, aviation, Airlines, Cruise Ships, and Ferries and photographing them are all hobbies of mine. I dont actually fly myself as I dont have a license. But I always love going up. My mom is actually the only one who has kept her license and also loves it.

Mine's a Olympus Digital Camera. It's kinda crummy as it dosn't have a good zoom lense but my photos come out fine after I get them on the computer because my screen isn't that good so im stuck with it for the now maybe i'll get a better one soon.

I have an Olympus Stylus 300 Digital 3.2 magapix. As you can see in some of the photos in my galleries (http://community.webshots.com/user/grahameajohnson), the digital zoom leaves much to be desired. Fortunatley my camera includes 3times optical zoom.

FYI I have added to my "British Columbia's Ships" gallery a shot I got of a Sea King helicopter making a bank turn over Pender Island and the Queen of Nanaimo. I also felt obliged to include an interior photos gallery on my Webshots site. It seems that in order to be a true BC Ferries site (comparable to the others), I must include interior shots. So far, I have posted a select few interior shots of the Nanny (Q. of Nanaimo), and will be adding with more shots of the nanny and other ships soon. You can find it all at: community.webshots.com/user/grahameajohnson

I used to use a Nikon CoolPix 995, then last June, I switched to a Nikon D70 with 3.5x Zoom. I use a 512MB and 256MB card. I really need to get a 2GB card sometime this year for those long days of lots of shooting. My 512/256 can only hold 85/40 photo's.

We too just purchased a D70 about a week ago. We were using a coolpix 3100 before and found it was a great camera but very limited as my wife is quite into photos these days. The D70 has a huge learning curve on the 3100 so I am still in "auto" but reading instructions and experimenting

Jeez my camera sounds like really old technology compared to all of yours. Mines a Kodak DC210 plus with ONE megapixel. Must of been one of the first digital cameras to come out, or not long after..Hmm let see when did digital cameras come out? this one is from 1998 I think.

And remember that they won't all be there together for long. The SOBC is back in service on the 18th, and the Queen of Surrey might be going back into service sooner (according to the rumor).
