It's a nice photo, either the Oaky or the Slurry. I noticed the old North Van Ferry No.5 up in the top left corner, which was used as the Seven Seas Restaurant for years.
If the year was 1985, she was probably just brought in for repainting, and I mean just brought into drydock for she still has her original colours.

I've only ever seen the original colours in pictures, because I was born in 1987, and the red and blue stripes were put on in time for Expo 86.

The picture of the C-Class looks like it could be Oak Bay, but it might be just me but it sort of looks like a slight space in the name on the front if you look close enough

I wonder what the Bowen Queen is doing just around the point?

It's probably just coming in and we can't see the wake or it's waiting for the surrey to dock cause it looks like there is a wake in the water from a nanaimo bound vessel before the surrey.

Thats Queen of Cowichan coming in from Langdale and Howe Sound Queen coming around the point and Queen of Capilano would be sitting there i guess because they were still test running her since the picture is from 1992

Actually the Cap was on Saltery Bay earlier than 1992 either they were testing her on Bowen or she was on her way to another route

From the horseshoe bay pic with the Howe Sound Queen Klista Kahole debate it is the Howe Sound Queen because it has the upper lounge. Why would it be the Kahole

Has anyone been to that park right along the waterfront in North Van the one you can see in that photo??? I am going to try again tommorrow to get over to Vancouver, hoping the ferries wont be as busy as Friday, and also hoping to see the Oaky and the SOBC at the drydock.

That's Waterfront Park, I've been there on Canada Day, where all the celebrations in North Van take place on days that are celebrationish. I think they do a bonfire when the Carol Ships go out at Christmas time.

Hey Global Air Photos updated their North Van. section of pictures again. They have ones dated Feb 21st now. In this one it looks like they're starting to paint Oak Bay again and theres no scaffholding along the passenger deck windows anymore. Karl got a picture of her sitting there and there was scaffholding all over her passenger deck. What I didn't understand about Karls picture was that there was a weird box thing at the end of her passenger deck blocking windows and it didn't even look like she had any windows. But in this picture you see looking down at her, the otherside looks normal, so I hope that box thing at the other end was temporary. But check it out: www.globalairphotos.com/large/BC/North_Vancouver/Lonsdale/2005/038/2
