I was thinking we should try something different by making Trivia Questions and see who can get them right first and then keep score by putting your score on the "Signature" part of your profile which is the space that almost everyone put Merry Christmas and all that a little while ago.
Starting off with the first Question:
What were the dates (month/year) of Queen of Esquimalt going in to be cut horizontally and added another car deck along with get the "NEW" retractable platform decks and getting re engined?
I know there isn't much point to doing this but I thought it would be funny to do on here.

Oh and you can find the answer to the question on a site that one of the yahoo forum members made, and I think he's been on here a few times and maybe a member but I don't know. But I'll put another hint to the site if nobody gets it by Sunday night. I'm thinking Karl will get this one seeming he knows the links everyone BCF's sites.

Say what you want about silly, off-topic posts from guests, but at least our guest "Bob" got all his spelling correct.
Bob: You win first prize, for quality spelling, and for humour creativity. However, with your question about "When did A&W Come Out?", I must confess that I never knew that A&W was in the closet to begin with.
Here's a trivia question for us all: With BC Ferries naming vessels after towns & rivers in BC, what do you think is the named town/city that is furthest away from salt-water. Ie. if they named a vessel "Queen of Cranbrook" that would be the winner. However, for current named vessels, what do you think is furthest away from salt chuck?

A&W came out in 1956 and was started in Winnepeg;D and they pre cool their drinks by having them in the pop machine dispenser thing a mabob and Mcdonalds obviously doesn't put sawdust in their cheeseburgers.... But uhh this is supposed to be BCF's Questions not about Fast Food obviously seeming it is a BC Ferry forum

White Spot began probably in 2000 or later as I dont think they had White Spot in the late 90's on the ships. They might of, I am not totally sure though. The SOVI and SOBC were the first to get White Spot. They did trial runs with WS on the Spirits. Then the Naniamo ferries between Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay and then the Duke Point ferries. Does anyone know if the Queen of Surrey still has WS??? I know she did but seeming how it is only a 40 min crossing they were talking about getting rid of it.
Right now the ships with WS are SOBC SOVI Queen of Saanich, Esquimalt, Vancouver, New West, Alberni, Cowichan, Coquitlam and Oak Bay, I am not sure about the Surrey.
Ships that should also have White Spot I think should be all three northern vessels and the Queen of Burnaby.
It would be cool if the Duke Point ferries and Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen ferries had Villages Pizza along with WS on the ships. Only ships I know with Villages Pizza are the Cowichan and Coquitlam and Oak Bay. Lots of good food choices now!

I was on the surrey last june and she had white spot. The surrey's cafatirium has less choice than that of a route 1 ship. They had only ham, bacon, scrambled egg, hashbrown and white toast at breakfast for example.

The steam powered ship was the Smokwa, it ran between HB and DB untill the Nanny, Burnaby, and New west were built. It was obviously a Black Ball Ferry

Bowen's home port is Fulford Harbour as someone else mentioned. Usually when she is not in service you most likely will find her there.
