Awright! Thanks for the tip, HL Kid! That was Stormaway III at Keats Landing last June. Queen of Chilliwack boarding at Bear Cove on a drizzly July morning, 2004:

Well, you have created a monster here, HL Kid. Whoopee, I can tell ferry tales with pics! Watch for the Central Coast adventure soon, illustrated. For now, one of my faves. Plumper Cove, Keats Island in Oct 2004, seen from Stormaway III. A beach fire smokes into the morning sun:

HarbourLynx Kid, you started this (many thanks!) but your monster is spawning monster pics.
A thought to all: consider screen resolution - which is display size as seen by the members. "Standard res" is usually 800 x 600 pixels; 1024 x 768 is becoming common. Macs use 72 dpi, PCs 96 dpi.
So, a reasonable max picture size for easy viewing by most folks would be 600 pixels wide (at 96 dpi). Width is most important, because super-wide photos force text in the thread off the screen, plus the navigation items built into the forum.
The horizontal scroll bar will appear (as in this thread) but it's a pain. You don't need costly PhotoShop to resample pics to the ideal size. Many freeware, shareware or bundled utilities can do the simple task of resampling pics to a good display size.
I have been posting pics to some other forums for many years. I use a conservative 450 pixels wide (at 96 dpi); a bit small, but it allows viewing on 15" monitors.
HL Kid: once again, many thanks for your innovation. The Ferries of BC board will be bigger, brighter and more popular than ever. Coastal BC is a place that demands illustration -- now we can do it! Yay.

Karl i like those pics but the norweigan star just isn't me, she is too boxy and the Serenade of the Seas, well shes just that serenade. We have our tasts in cruise ship, if i was offered a captain position for either ship i'd execpt, as i really want to be a captain. When i was in ketchikan i saw a second officer off the norweigan star because the star was two spots away from the serenade.

Yeah the Seranade of Seas looks like a pretty neat ship also. Basically if I went on cruise I would like to go on a ship like her or Norwegian Star. One of the bigger ship. I like how some of Norwegian cruise lines ships have all the colorful freestyle markings on the side. Kind of neat. But when you look at her from the back she does look more square as you mentioned. Like in this photo gallery68881.fotopic.net/p5017909.htmlBut she still is neat. What do you think of this one, the Oosterdam gallery68881.fotopic.net/p6740010.htmloh I cant wait till the start of the cruise season this year. Summer nights down at the pier!

The oosterdam looks really nice from the outside, my ship the Srenade of the Seas passed her in the Hubbard Glacier at Yukatut bay. The oosterdam is like brand new, She and the Serenade were built in the end of 2003.
