Will Harbourlynx expand its service?

hi all,

I just found out about your great forum here. Me and my family will relocate to BC next summer and as we have a large family we can't afford to live in Vancouver but both Nanaimo or Abbotsford seem to be a good option. It takes about as long by train from Mission to get in downtown Vancouver as it takes with the Harbourlynx from Nanaimo to downtown Vancouver. The weather seems to be better in Nanaimo though. My question is: is there any chance that Harbourlynx will expand its service so there would also be a service after 5.30pm in case I need to work longer hours. And if so when would it be?

Not in the immediate future, HarbourLynx Teen might disagree with me but I think it's still awhile away?

There was a past company that started an almost identical service to HL too fast too soon and went under. HL is doing a good job right now and they wouldn't want to stifle their momentum.

Hey some one mentioned to me HL is looking at a new boat to be built in BC?

HL is contracting to build a new vessel, I think it was Thursday or Friday in the BusinessBC section.

yes. but i have lots of information. that unfortunatly due to a NDA (non Disclosure Agreement) i cannot share.

HL Teen: Are your plans still to be the captain of the MV Harbourlynx in about 3 years? I think I read that somewhere when I was browsing old posts on here.

if we have more boats, then there will be plenty of space, and no i dont think those plans co incide with the ones i already have. and lars and grant probably wouldn't like it if i tried to oust them
