Today I did the Shelter Bay ferry and Kootenay Lake ferries. Started off arriving at Shelter Bay around 2:50pm to a long lineup and the MV Shelter Bay offloading. Got up to the dock and noticed it was the MV Shelter Bay which I had already been on but we were wanting to get across as we had a long drive so we planned to get on but we got to the ramp and the car ahead got on but we dident. Had to back off and get back in line for the next one which seemed to be running late but it was the DEV Galena which I had never been on so that was cool. Sailed across to Galena Bay which was cool. Nice day for a lake crossing and a bit choppy as I you could feel the spay leaning over the side of the ship. Anyways arrived at Balfour around 6:30pm just missing the 6:10pm sailing to Kootenay Bay. So we had to wait till 7:50pm which was ok cause we saw the Balfour come in and offload, then back up into her layup berth as she was done for the day. Took the Osprey across this evening. Beautiful evening for a cruise. Staying over here then taking the Osprey back to Balfour tommorrow then heading for Kelowna. So last inland ferry will be tommorow! Will post photos in the next few days. Thought I would update you guys on my inland ferry travels!

Great photos Karl. They seem to get better by the set, and that's not saying any were sub-par either. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

re the ship "D.E.V. Galena":
Does the DEV stand for "Diesel Electric Vessel" ?
