It looks like it may have been a sailing boat to begin its life... What was it last, I wonder. That steel superstructure that seems to have been added could take some pretty rough seas, it seems.

I'm not to sure about this, but I believe it is the Motor Princess or Island Princess. Notice the funnel (CP colours)

It is the Motor Princess, with some artistic license. I believe it sailed between Steveston and Sidney.
