As some of you may know, I live in the Okanagan (unfortunately far from ferries). However, one of the advantages is these three ships that are moored in Penticton. I happened to take a trip down there this weekend, and decided to snap a few photos. Here's the link: seangoerzen.fotopic.net/c1318229.html. Now, if some of you don't know all the history about the Sicamous, here's a little bit of info. When the Sicamous was first built she had 5 decks. Now, she has four. After being sold by the CPR, her 2nd deck was removed, and the 3rd deck was shortened. Here is the difference: - This is her looking awesome and magnifecent. Here she is now- Of course she looks terrible, but... oh well. Enjoy the photos! Edited to fix link (the '.' after 'html' prevented the link from working)

Nice photos. She looked better back in the day. I have been on her before, they had a nice model railroad on her. Do they still do today?

Yes, they do. It is actually quite neat! If any of you guys are in the South Okanagan (Penticton) I would definately encourage you to go visit the Sicamous!

I love the S.S. Sicamous, S.S. Naramata and CN Tug #6. I go up to Penticton every summer and spend a few days volunteering there. Last time, they only had the Sicamous and the Naramata (and the S.S. Okanagan if you can still call it a ship ). But now I see that #6 is there too now so I can't wait till I go up this summer. If anyone ever gets the chance to volunteer there then I highly recommend it. It loads of fun. Last summer I spent one of my days volunteering on the roof of the ship on the other side of the fence chipping old paint of the ship. Anyways, this is a great place and if you are ever in the area then you should go see it.
