My Grandmother and Great-Grandmother were on one of the last trips the old CN Boat "Prince George" made to Alaska in July 1974...I have some memorabilia she left me from that trip...Will post on "7sisters_photos" on photobucket!.....Dan

I don't want to discourage you from sharing your photos and memorabilia, however I would like to point a few things out.
When starting a new thread, it is usually intended for some discussion or input by others to follow. This post seems to be a one-time announcement - not a discussion topic. It would be better to find some thread already created (like the one about your photos) to post this. Now if you had some photos up already and found a way to link to them or post them in this thread, that would probably be acceptable (although we do have a West Coast Steamships thread if you just want to share a few old photos). This thread would be a place to look at your photos of the Prince George, comment on them, and others could post their photos as well. It would be good to have at some substance (a photo, a story) before creating a new topic.
That being said, I'll leave this topic open to anyone who does have anything to share regarding the "Prince George" (and I will rename this topic because it is somewhat ambiguous).
When you do have specific photos to share, please at the very least put a link to them in your post. If you could have a properly sized photo to paste in your message even better, although it is a bit more complicated. But to just put a link should not be a problem. Simply copy and paste the url or address at the top of the page of your photo or your photobucket account, and paste it in your message. The link will show up and viewers can simply click and view rather than have to go to Photobucket and search for your account to see the pics.

We'll eventually get to the topic (as we have with the Sundancer one)....sometimes it takes time for people to respond with their thoughts and questions. |
