I am a participant in a scouting type forum. Sorry, not giving the link as that would be advertising. The Rules: The poster above you will give two choices. You will pick one (further explanations are optional), and provide two new choices for the next poster. Please try not to repeat the same ones, keep the game interesting! Keep it clean. An Example: poster 1: pencils or pens? poster 2: pencil white out or eraser? Now for the actual game. (This one will be fun trust me). BC Ferries or WSF?

Coastal Renaissance. Sunshine Breakfast or White Spot Triple O. That's it PNW... you're in trouble now! How dare you choose the Renaissance over the Queen of Tsawwassen . But, given everything I've heard about Sunshine Breakfasts, I'll go with the Triple O-s. (But I'm not dead sure on that.) Would you prefer a calm or rough weather sailing with that.

Calm seas. Would you rather the boat was late or the boat was full?

Wanting to be 'in control' I will choose 'Captain/Master'. But what vessel to be the Master of? - The Northern Expedition or the Coastal Renaissance?

Heavy seas or calm seas?

Tough choice, I'd say NorEx due to the sereneness Heavy seas or calm seas? I think that is a repeat question -- I'll take heavy though. Let's throw the cat into the fire ... Assuming the same specs and delivery schedule: Foreign built new-built major ship at 100% of design cost or locally built new-built but at 175% design cost

Ok here I go diving into the deep end without a lifevest, lifeguard or even a lifesaver to suck on. Foreign, assuming quality is equal. Maximizing jobs through: Restablishing legacy industries such as shipbuilding despite intense foreign competition through subsidies for infrastructure then ongoing subsidies for operating. Or Investing in centres of excellence to establish new jobs (such as refit and shipbuilding of specialty ships) where local demand exists through R&D funding and subsidies/incentives for infrastructure. I wll be in hiding now for the next week or so .
