Coho and Washinton, I chose Washington State as I prefer that over the Coho, but again would love to do both.

I am going to say San Jaun Port Townsend and Coho back or vise versa or the inland ferry tour! I wouldent mind just going up to interior for a few days and spend some relaxing time up there and ride some FREE ferries!

That's quite a toss up.....Go down to the States and ride the Ferries there, or go to all of the trouble to riding the inland Ferries. Sure they're Free Ferries, but getting there sure isn't Free! Gas is more expensive during the summer. So if we do either the WSF or Inland Ferries, then I would hope we're all carpooling as much as possible.

It's just my opinion but I think going to the states is more of a pain because you have to cross the border. Either way I dont mind going if we went just depends when it is.

It seems as a group trip Inland Ferries may be impractical given the associated costs, food, accom., gas (and well that's about it) whereas I could easily do WA on a tank of gas.

You could go all the way from Vancouver down to Seattle and up to Port Angeles and back on a tank of gas??? Dont forget you cant do that all in one day. You have to pay for each ferry, plus accomadations still with that trip too. Either way I will probably do another inland trip anyways as are yearly summer trip again. I find it more relaxing going up to the interior and just hanging around up there then going down to Seattle and that area.

If contemplating a northern ferry trip members may want to consider driving one way from Rupert to Vancouver (or vice versa) via Prince George. If doing so I recommend that you do the Francois Lake ferry trip (on the new vessel Francois Forester) as an add-on. Francois Lake is located on Hwy 35 about 25 minutes south of Burns Lake which is about two thirds of the way from Rupert to Prince George on the Trans-Canada Yellowhead 16 route. Alternatively you could travel between the Princes via Via Rail Canada's passenger train service.

That is not a bad idea. I have thought of doing that ferry if we were ever up in that area. Would be neat to see!

Well, I can def. get Seattle and back on a tank. Accom isn't a huge deal for me, and perhaps a small number of others as I can stay at any United States Army/Navy/Air Force/Coast Guard/Marine facility for next to nothing - and most of them have hotels/motels (like real motels/hotels with poor quality continental breakfasts). (I don't know if you've seen the Wardroom in Esquimalt but that's our West Coast equivelant). Thus, inland BC seems like too much work while I can manage Washington. I would love to go inland though - and I am planning on driving across Canada with friends in May so perhaps we can take the ferry detour
