At the moment, i am planning to go on a trip on the Queen of Tsawwassen near Christmas time. However, I don't know how long I would have to stay on the ferry. Would I be allowed to do this?! Can anyone answer my question?

Your first issue should be if the Queen of Tsawwassen will be there at that time.

if you are doing this route from mainland to saltspring you will have to get off at long harbour as this is a shift change and there could be upto 2 hours between arrival and departure

Yeah, my dad and I went biking on Saltspring out of Long Harbour, and it turns out from the time we left to the time we returned to the harbour, the ferry had never left. It was arrival at 1 pm and departrue at 4 pm

Well, it seems that if I did do this trip, it would mean that It leaves Tsawwassen at 12:15, and arrives at 1:40. It leaves again at 3:35, and arrives at 6:35 (3 stops: Pender, Mayne, Galiano) Does this mean that the Queen of (Nanaimo, or Tsawwassen) stays at Long Harbour for 2 hours? I wouldn't mind waiting, but I was wondering if that was correct.

She stays at long harbour. there is a crew change over so you will have to leave the ship for the time that she is docked. hope that it is not raining and enjoy a walk out scott point and take in the few.
