I'm travelling by car from Nanaimo to north Saanich(ton) on a Wednesday morning later this month. I'm thinking of taking the Mill Bay ferry, but I can't afford to be late by missing my sailing.
I would be taking the 8:05 am sailing from Mill Bay; this is the first sailing of the day from that side.
Does anyone know if this is a busy sailing, or a quiet sailing, for mid-week October? Do lots of commuters use this in the morning?
I just need to know this, so I will be able to plan enough time to line up for the ferry. I've had bad experiences at Crofton with the ferry being full in the morning, even with arriving 35 minutes ahead of time.....so I want to be careful here.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
