Washington State Ferries is doing some work on it's Eagle Harbor maintenance facility on Bainbridge Island, so WSF had to move the Nisqually from Eagle Harbor and tied her up at Kingston from what I have heard. The Nisqually has been in mothballs for a number of years so they ended up towing her from Eagle Harbor. This is also why the Quinault has been tied up at Port Townsend even though WSF has gone back to the Winter one boat schedule on that route.

That explains why the Quinault was showing up on Vessel Watch.
I wonder if the Evergreen State or the Hiyu have been moved as well.

I think that is why the Walla Walla was in Seattle

I drove the waterfront today and the Walla Walla wasn't sitting at Pier 52. Where is she now?

I dont know she is not in Bremerton right now but I did see her a week ago in Seattle. She could be in the 3rd slip (tie up) at bainbridge island

WSF posted that the Quinault is replacing the Klickitat, doesn't say if it is permanent or just for the Klicktat's refit.

The Klickitat was damaged during a storm while she was landing at Port Townsend. The Quinault is taking her place.

The Klickitat was damaged during a storm while she was landing at Port Townsend. The Quinault is taking her place. Hmmm.... I couldn't find any news of this happening. Google search through news articles didn't bring up anything at all. As of yesterday afternoon she was tied up at Todd Shipyards. -- LB

The Kickitat is sitting at Port Townsend right now, so she must be back in service tomorrow.
