I noticed some wrapping paper on one of the tables, but didn't think much about it. Then I noticed this: All of the pictures on the passenger cabin walls were wrapped in paper. I also noticed this: All of the poles at the top of the stairwells were wrapped in paper. I've never seen this before. Is this something new WSF is doing or have they done this before?

Decorating the boats for the holidays (we aren't allowed to be specific which one, of course) is done on an independent basis by the vessel crews. We hung wreaths on the boats up in the San Juans for years, but the nuns who made them for us are gone.

The wreaths are (or at least have been) on the Klahowya and Tillikum. The Wenatchee is the only boat that I have seen this year to have lights up on the exterior, as they string from her smokestack. The Tacoma and Puyallup are not decorated. The only decorations on the Bremerton boats are the lights that are inside, courtesy of the foodservice vendor.
I was on the Tillikum this morning, and she does not (yet) have any decorations.

We have Salvation Army Giving Trees on the Sealth and Yakima. I don't know about the Chelan and Illahee. The Illahee crews routinely deck the interisland ferry out pretty well on the interior.
