I saw the E-State at Colman dock this morning. I do not know when she arrived but she left about 11.40am. She was not on the Vessel Watch either.
Does she have a Coast Guard inspection coming up?

Not that I'm aware of. Possibly a quick pre-service shakedown/sea trial... she'll be back in service later this month AFAIK.

She left around noon. It was rather breezy today.

Probably will end up at Vashon sometime later this month or early next month. The COI for the Tillikum expires next month, so she'll have her annual maintenance around that time. The Klahowya is scheduled for drydock work next month as well.
Someone mentioned in another thread that she would be up in the San Juans while the Illahee is in drydock (supposedly at the same time as the Klickitat).

She'll be up in the San Juans. Hyak's coming up to relieve the Sealth, so I suspect that the Sealth will actually be in service at Vashon (check out the plaid floor) while the Klahowya and Tillikum are off the board.

If I remember right, the Sealth always goes to Vashon at about the start of the Summer schedule. They need another Super up in the San Juans anyways, especially on the morning runs when there is only one run to Friday Harbor.

Evergreen goes to Anacortes in mid-May for 5 weeks. On standby right now.
Sealth at Vashon mid May through late June, six weeks. Spends a few weeks at Bremerton mid summer... Ouch!
Kaleetan stays south at Bremerton most of the summer.
Of course this is all crystal ball stuff.

My crystal ball is a little fuzzier than In Washington's but I'm gonna throw in a caveat...
...Kaleetan stays south at Bremerton most of the summer providing the mighty Elwha's back on the board. Side bet, In Washington? ;D

I just wonder if they keep the Chelan on the Sidney route or put the Elwha back on. They could use the extra capacity on the domestic San Juan route.

Does the E-State sub for the Q-boat or does she draw a regular assignment? Will the Illahee be back as the Inter-island boat so the Q-boat can sail at PT with the Nisqually?
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Hergfest, I would put down some pretty good money that the Elwha will not be a regularly assigned vessel to the Sidney run for a long, long time, if ever. It's too expensive to operate when the capacity could be used elsewhere with a chance at generating something closer to enough money to pay for its operation. Maybe for one trip or the other in summer, but not likely both.
I believe that the Evergreen will be in for the Illahee, which will be out at the same time as the Klickitat in mid-May, leaving the Quinault and Nisqually available for Port Townsend.
