Just wondered if the Tillikum is out of service as she is not listed on the Vessel Watch currently. The webcam at Fauntleroy shows the typical long commuter lines at the dock so it is hard to gauge what is going on. The WSF website lists no service bulletins about a two boat schedule. Is the Tilly just not showing up on the Vessel Watch?

The Tillikum must not've been showing on the vessel watch. I was down there yesterday and I assure you she's still there.

Are the transponders turned off when the vessel goes out of service for the evening? I was thinking that someone turned off the transponder too early (the #2 vessel's (which just happens to ne the Tillikum this week) last trip in the evening is the 7:05 from Fauntleroy).

They aren't usually; once in a while the tracking software hiccups, or the transponder trips out when the vessel switches from ship to shore power or vice versa. The usual solution is to re-boot the transponder... come to think of it, if the boat is having trouble with the GPS that feeds the transponder, that can screw it up too. In any case, I assure you the Tillikum is alive and well.
