Jet foil hits whale; one dead, 99 hurt
BUSAN, South Korea (Kyodo) A South Korean woman died and 99 others were injured when the jet foil they were aboard, carrying about 200 people from the Fukuoka Prefecture port of Hakata to Busan collided with an unidentified floating object, possibly a whale, Thursday evening, South Korean maritime police said Friday.
The hydrofoil ferry Kobee hit the object around 25 km southeast of Busan at around 6:20 p.m., the maritime police said, adding the passengers and crew members were all Korean.
