The title is self-explanatory...for me, I was looking through Google one day. I was searching "Pacificats," and out of nowhere, John's "Pacificat Experience" page showed up. I started off there. After getting a little more curious, I searched around his main site, finding how much he liked ferries. I found the board posted on his Website. This was probably mid-2003, but I didn't make a first post until early 2004 under the guest name "Someone," when I was bent over hiding my identity on the Internet. I came across the Yahoo! board several times searching on Google, but didn't sign up for quite a while...I believe it was in March last year. I've been wanting to ask this question frequently, but I keep forgetting about it. I finally remembered...post your regards.

Yet another google search, for me back around April or May last year. I was searching the web section of google for the Oak Bay, and came across Johns section of the Oak Bay, then went from there reading all of the info of the ferries he had. I didn't know this forum was linked to that site until I google searched the Queen of Alberni, and came across one of the topics on this board. That was back when this board was just barely 2 pages long and, 1 page on the Non BC Ferries Section. So I ended up staying as a guest for a few more months, and then decided to be a member, and so here I am now..

I was a frequent reader/infrequent poster on the yahoo board since 2003. I had checked out John's page and forum before and the forum was pretty dead back then. Then it was mentioned again and I checked it out and jumped on the fobc bandwagon.

I found this board by looking for BCFerries pictures, and found the Geocities site, then there was the ferry forum link, then I posted my first post about the Mill bay route. Ah the memories...

I found John's website while I was looking up pictures of ferries on Google, same as everyone else apparently! At least I'm a little different, in that I was looking for the photos as an excuse to avoid studying for finals, and for something to do to relax when I got frustrated on a question. That was last December, I believe. I got to the forum through John's website, I think

I found this forum a year ago, while looking for some information on the Queen of Victoria. John's site came up, and I looked around, and discovered the forum, so I signed up soon after.

I found the site back before the forums (2002?) then joined the forums in 2003 I think. Was doing image searches on Google like everyone else.

I was searching Google for BC Ferries and I found John's site, and I often went on his website, like everyday and then on day I went on and he had just started the forum, so I started posting.

It's funny! I dont remember how I found this site. I know I found the Yahoo Forum before this one and was posting there for a while. Actually no wait, I emailed John personally about some ferry stuff and he told me about the yahoo group. So I must of found this site first. Yeah I think was just searching the net like everyone else on here.

A ferry enthusiast from Belgium has given me this link after I said something like "it would be interesting what sort of ferries they have there on the other side of the Atlantic" - apart from the more well known Washington-State-Ferries.
