Rumors are saying that John is thinking of closing down this forum. Anyone have any more to add to this rumor or John can you give us the facts?

First of all, I don't see any "fighting" in this thread, so far. So I don't know what Skier's talking about.
Secondly, why should this thread be deleted? And why should one of us have the gall to say "you can delete this thread". Sorry, that's not how things work over here (not that I have anything to do with it, but that's not how I hope things work here). Freedom of speech is great. If you don't like this thread, don't post to it. Why try to sanitize it like the kid's board does?
As far as I remember, the only thread that's been locked on this board was a defamatory thread by one member aimed at another member.
Why are people so afraid about discussion or controversy? Really, why? Someone says "Biff" or "Toogabooga" and people freak out. I thought Biff was pretty funny, and Toogabooga was just immature.
If John locks this thread, can he also make Steve Moore love Todd Bertuzzi? Any while he's at it, can he also make Gilles Duceppe join the Federal Liberal Party? Might as well continue with the sanitized dream world.....

Yes we read about it here in London. John was featured on page 3 of the SUN - so it wasn't a rumor at all, but in fact the truth.
The other point you guys missed is that John is selling it to eBAY and retiring on the Queen of Sidney once Harry can get the engine to work.
ps do any of you know what the SUN newspaper is like in London - apart from been the largest selling daily paper in the UK?

I believe that the Sun in London has pictures of beautiful young women. Such as Samantha Fox, back in the 1980's.
I heard the story about John closing the forum, when I was watching Larry King Live this week on CNN. He had Jerry Lewis on as a guest, and Jerry was saying how much him and Dean & Frank used to love posting on John's board.
Bill Clinton is rumoured to have posted on John's board too, but he denied it, saying that "I did not post on John's board, in the legal sense of the word".
Back in the 1970's, John Lennon & Yoko Ono also posted on John H's board, during their bed-in for peace at Montreal. All they were saying, was "Give the Smokwa a chance".
Back in August 1918, there were rumours that John would close down the board, in protest of the assassination of Franz-Ferdinand. John's board was part of a triple-entente with Survivor-sucks and with Discover-Vancouver.
I'm sure there are other historical instances where John has been rumoured to close this board, but they'll have to wait until I'm home from work....

I do like your comments, Yes Ms. Fox was a fine piece of female form. Over the years she has had a change of heart, and now prefers the female form, than that of the red blooded male.
I just wish that John had allowed me to do his deal with eBAY - just think of the commission I lost out on. I also could have saved him a lot of money - re:tax from the government.
I am sure Doug is sick of the money making deal that John had done - oh well..... when the forum shuts down and re-opens under the eBAY bander and they start to charge us for posting - then maybe Doug and his crew will get members moving over.... Blue sky's in London........

Cascade, I can't believe that the old E-Bay rumour is still going around re the ownership of this board. That's so "last week".
Didn't you read the piece in The Guardian where it said that John did a deal with an Arab sheik named "Aibmuloc Hsitirb Fo Seirref" to transfer ownership of this board to an oil cartel. So if you see some camels wandering around in Burnaby, you'll know that John has received his first payment. Expect to see the computer-screen colour on this board to change to a sand colour, soon.
