Mr. Horn, Sir, & Chris & Stronger Skier,
Shall we press John to make this farewell party of the forum a Black Tie affair, as that is the respect it deserves, or should we all come dressed as 1960's BC Ferries workers in honour of the Queen, before she goes to her final resting place....
Is John having a band, as I do like a good dance, at a party..
and who is bringing the chips & dip???

Speaking of bands I know a good one named Insert. Hope people like Melodic nu-metal.

Is John having a band, as I do like a good dance, at a party.. and who is bringing the chips & dip??? A farewell party would be most appropriate for this occasion. A black tie affair would be the easiest to do, as it would bit quite difficult to match the Pastel Blue Ferry workers uniform, and I don't believe my dad would still have his, as I'm sure BC Ferries made him hand it in when he finnished his time on the Ferries. What type of band did you have in mind, Cascade? How about a Swing Dance, so one may dance with their lover in the Sea West Lounge on the Spirit of British Columbia. Or what about a famous pianist to play, just to make this "partay" a little more formal. I'm sure a simple request with BC Ferries could be arranged with the Chips and Dip. lol, this is an exageration...

Chris,
I guess with the money John is making from the selling of this forum - then why not go for the best.
The Rolling Stones - would cost about $1M - but we could get REM for less - I would like the Scissor Sisters to open and have REM in the middle with a nice dance / swing band at the end. Cocktails on the aft Deck at midnight.

REM is fine with me.

Insert is a local band in NV and Jordan's brother secondary singer. Might as well get a taste for the locals instead of some well known band.

If we got the Rolling Stones, they would be able to ride free on the ferries (but only as passengers between Tuesday and Thursday....).
Keith Richards has survived everything else in life.....now we can see if he survives the Ferry-Food.

Well I thought I'd add on to this...just to answer the question why Mac started this and the "what happens when John is gone for Christmas?" thread. Why do you think? Mac wants to advertise his forum on this forum...and wants to say farewell to it too and leave with all the members. Here is a screenshot of a conversation between Mac and Dan. It is 100% real, and if you don't believe me, I can tell you this: I don't have a Mac computer and I am not familiar with it, whereas Dan does. Read on: . John can ban me, but that won't solve anything. Flugel Horn can complain, but that won't solve anything either. I am leaving the choice up to John to this solution. Dan will add more of this conversation tomorrow, but I am off to bed.

One last note...someone will claim: what if "Mac" is someone else? Mac will deny this all, but Dan is the one who actually talked to him, so you can see for yourself.

So I talked with Dan. Yes what's the big deal. and my threads have been genuine concern about this forum. That's why I posted them. and Doug or Queen of Saanich started the rumor about John closing the forum not me.

Almost everyone on this forum knows about Mac's forum, and almost no one goes there. I don't think Mac advertising on this forum will help at all.
Spam will be deleted, and spammers will be banned.

John,
Have you got the date sorted out for your farewell party of this forum, as I need to book my flight.
Had a word with Ron Wood and the Stones will play the gig.
Your down for the chip & dip's - cola for Harry as he can't drink yet...
Mr. Horn, Sir has agreed to act as the MC of the night, and Biff will be making an appearance with Doug in the support act...
Has anyone asked Mac yet??? only just though about him or her?
