We're getting some early snow here in Burnaby (and I think in most of the Lower Mainland). Nice big flakes coming down... about 1cm so far. Should make a wonderful commute tomorrow morning!!

Still raining here in the Seattle area, but should turn to snow soon. Supposed to all melt by noon tomorrow. No snow in downtown Seattle or the Fauntleroy area. Nor any on Vashon Island (I could hear the raindrops hitting the roof around 2:00 am so I figured it wasn't going to snow). www.komotv.com/stories/40487.htm-- LB

Hmmm, only about 3 cms here or about an inch of snow here it looks like. But looking up at the sky, it looks like we're not out of it yet.

On the news today, they were saying the the circumstances of the different weather systems gave a pounding of snow to the east coast of the central island area (Nanaimo, etc.).
I was surprised to look out my window last night and see lots of snow coming down (some even stayed through the morning) in below-sea-level, coastal Ladner!

UBC seems to have gotten the highest accumulations of any of the places along my commute. It snowed all morning, and it was getting pretty bad at one point. People were worried about getting snowed in at the school.
