Well well well, we are now in 2006, hard to believe, and I have fireworks going off next door. What is happening now at our other BC communities?

Happy New Year everyone! I have no idea what is going on in BC, Victoria sucks, what is with this year there is no live New Years celebrations from Vancouver or anywhere in Canada. I was watching the Seattle celebrations and they have had more than I can say for here. Of couse they had countdowns up till midnight but one was from Niagra Falls and they have already had New Years by the time we hit midnight and what happened to the New Years bash in Naniamo this year???

HAPPY NEW YEAR from the best place on the West Coast, Seattle, Washington. Space Needle was lit up like a match, fireworks were set off from bottom to top, just think if you were in the elevator.

Yeah, first time I wished I was in the Seattle for New Years. It looked awesome on TV so I can imagine actually being there. WSF should have new years cruises so people could watch the celebrations from the deck of a WSF. That would be cool!

Happy New Year all! HAPPY NEW YEAR from the best place on the West Coast, Seattle, Washington. Space Needle was lit up like a match, fireworks were set off from bottom to top, just think if you were in the elevator. was just watching, and was surprised that they actually didn't use the elevator this year. Also, we all agree that last year's Space Needle fireworks show was much more spectacular, but we did like the Jimmy Hendrix segment of the show. Cheers!

We should wait until BC Ferries is 50 before we have posts like that though...it will obviously be marked at the terminals like they did for their 35th and 40th.
I believe there was something from Vancouver on channel 12 or 13, but I only caught the last 45 seconds of the waiting.

Yeah, Happy New Years everyone! I was looking down at Kamloops last night from the top of the hill, and could see all of the fireworks being fired off in different parts of the city. But now I have just returned from there after coming home on the Duffy Lake road. Jeez I was getting used to the cold dry winter with a bit of the snow on the ground, and now I come home to wet dark drizzly weather. Sigh...
Hopefully everyone has recooperated from last night!..haha

Happy New Year and all the best to everyone in 2006. I just got home from my ski vacation in Calgary, the Rockies, Nelson and the Kootenays, and I was driving the new truck through some rather sketchy winter conditions between Castlegar and Grandforks
2 big things for me this year, I'll be legal drinking age at the end of July and I'll have my full driver's license in October.

Well, I was up Apex and Crystal Mountains, having a good time, Apex was rather expensive though. The furthest east I went during that time was Kelowna, didn't go to big white, I saw it though.

sounds good but not until July 31st. At least I got a taste of being legal while I was in Calgary last week.

Does beer taste different when you're of legal drinking age?
just wondering if it's less enjoyable when it's legal.....
You could plan a trip to Amsterdam to check this theory out re blazing.

there's no taste difference in beer between legal and not. I'm legal drinking age in Alberta so I know. As for blazing, I haven't done the stuff in 2 months.

Strong Skier - have you submitted your new words to the Oxford Dictionary - and do you have any new ones ready for 2006?
