Here is our evidence that on Monday, January 2, 2006, at 9:02 pm (pacific time), our beloved Mac Write was abducted by space aliens, while in the middle of posting a new thread.
We can only hope that said space aliens are not transporting him to the Ubellian Galaxy (the one with the constellation shaped like a christmas tree), as that would place our earthling subject in a dangerous situation.
Once he is returned to Earth by said space aliens, we can expect nicely cropped pictures posted for sale.....price set at 500 space-bucks each.
Film at eleven.
Yeah, my brain's bent tonight.....

backwards is:
"Erom yas I deen"
Maybe this is the secret message? Perhaps I will get the english interpretation during a dream tonight.
I will keep you updated on any new developments. ------------
edited to say that now that Mac's photo link in his original post is now linked & works, his post suddenly makes sense, because we can see the picture. Sorry to move this post Mac to "non-ferry", it is ferry-related after all......

Mr. Horn, Sir,
I trust with your comments about Mr. Mac Write - that you are not acting as his agent and demanding a percentage for the said sale of said pictures - nicely cut to smaller piece - (More to sell), as it is not really allowed on this forum to sell ones mother or father or for that matter - kids - which - are OK - if the price is right - and no refund is allowed.
Is this Mac Writes new diet book - been launched in 2006 - again, with said pictures of....

BC ferries and Buffets... I, as an innocent European do suspect now.... what is all about BC ferries ? I was so naive to think that it´s all about transportation...
BUT ! The more posts I read especially by a certain person I get the feeling it´s all about FOOD FOOD FOOD - BC = Buffet Community RIGHT ?
(am leaving, confused.... books a trip on our dear European transportation-only-ferries aka known as floating boxes by you)

Ferry Food is definitely a "heritage item" for us west-coasters. Ferry-Food is to a west-coaster as bistro-food is to a European.
If you take away our ferry-food, you take away our purpose for living. A sailing without a buffet is like life without laughter.

I guess the problem we have here is that all of you are addicts and trying to break this craving is going to be very hard. Is that why car companies are now building bigger seats in there car's SUV to handle this small increase due to your daily fix of Buffet food.
What do you call a pair of trouser with a elastic band ? Buffet pants.....

I understand, of course I do not want to badmouth your high cultural icon the BC ferry-food especially the BC Buffet !! A sailing without a buffet is like life without laughter.. something must definitely be wrong with me because I could laugh very well with the mineral water and piece of pizza I got onboard. And, BC food is great - that piece of pizza was big, and greasy and the cup of water was a really large one so it did last a whole day ! I knew why it was over 6 $ then.. But in general, I was surprised when going to USA and Canada - about your portions. They are DOUBLE as big as ours and there is actually NO CHANCE to get the plate empty at all. So what is the sense of eating buffet, all is anyways too much Though, you buffet eaters might not be able to enjoy anymore how the ship is doing the passage.. see the forest and water, and various birds. OK I agree.. even that sort of stuff is not so enjoyable with an empty stomach right ? I will not give more comments about the great Canadian invention the BC ferries - buffet I will come back to Canada, buy me a pair of buffet-pants too, and put them up - small as I am, they´d make a great tent for me !!

The large portions of food here is the reason why so many people in North America are over-weight or obese, but even that can be countered with eating the right things and excercise. I may be 5'10, and 170lbs, but I'm still fairly skinny because of my high metabolism, and the muscle mass in my legs from all the the skiing I do in the winter and the cycling I do in the summer.

When English people (not Harry) go on holiday to the States - they all talk about the size and cost of meals. You have (Sorry the Americans) double plus - what they put on a normal plate here in London. The other thing is the value you get. If I had a £100 and $100 - what would I get for it in Victoria or London - food wise.
In London - I could take out 3 people for a normal small meal - no drinks - but a sweet (Desert) & coffee. Thats about it. How what would that get me on a BC Ferry ?
Is Mac Write writing his new 2006 diet book? or has Mr.Horn, Sir - his new agent kept him off the forum away from the public - to build up orders - maybe???

lol. anyway depending on where you go 100$ would get you probably 3 meals, 6 beers and a light dessert
or 18 beers

Also FYI: Canadians are Americans specificly North Americans because you are on the continent of North America. But if you refer to United Mistakes of America then you aren't.

I certainly did send a ship out to get Mac...unfortunately there was no room for anything over 200 pounds...so the ship crashed and he got away. So much for our new fleet of antigravity ships. *DAMN YOU MEDDLING KIDS!

I am not sure that as a true Canadian - born and bread there - that I would like myself to be classified as an American. Yes I come from "North America" - but I am a Canadian not American.

That's a funny one Dan, lol! I bet Mac would do something like that. Although if he did that and jumped up and down he would probably damage the ship. lol!
