All of you Vancouverites might already know, but sometime last week a new Skytrain station opened at Keith and 6th. The staton is called VCC (Vancouver Community College)/Clark.
Post your thoughts here about Skytrain, or anything having to do with Translink.
Sorry I haven't posted earlier.

I love the announcement for "VCC- Clark." The voice sounds like "VCC? - Clark" posed in question form.

Is VCC-Clark on the original, main skytrain line? Or is this on the new line that was built a few years ago?
(I haven't ridden skytrain since Expo)

VCC-Clark is at the end of the new line (millenium line). It's the station after Commercial Drive/Broadway.

I took the 84 to VCC-Clark from UBC, and then the Millenium Line out to Columbia, then the switch to Scott Road. It took roughly the same amount of time as the 99 and the Expo Line.
VCC-Clark is a decent little station. I hope it actually gets some good use from the VCC students.
Oh, and on another note, on friday (or was it thursday? the days are running together...), there was a switch problem by the skytrain yard, and the train I was on got to detour through the skytrain yard. It was pretty cool, but it was dark, and we didn't go through any of the buildings, so it wasn't as awesome as it could have been.

I really enjoyed my trip on the 84 UBC. It is not a route I will be using a lot, but it seems well scheduled and planned. Thus far, a lot of the use from the station appears to be coming from UBC students who i. Never had access to transit as easily as they do now ii. want to avoid the 44. It looks like it was a good decision to go ahead with it, I was there on the 8th day of operation and the 84 was a standing load.

Of course, I knew about this first, I should have posted earlier, but my freind drives a bus in Vancouver, and he drove the 22 on a tuesday and I came with him, he passed the new station, and explained to me that was the new station they(Translink) were building.

When I rode on it, I had to wait 3 of 4 buses before there was space where I could get on. Who knows, maybe there will be a new Skytrain/Light Rail line out to UBC.

Who knows, maybe there will be a new Skytrain/Light Rail line out to UBC. One day there will be an extension to the millenium line. After the Canada Line and the Coquitlam Line are completed, and after the Olympics, the continuation of the Millenium line down Broadway towards UBC. They need to recoup some cost from the previously mentioned new lines before they start a new project. An unfortunate thing is that it will have to go through a wealthy area, which has always been an issue for transit lines in Vancouver. The rich people don't want it in their neighborhood. So that means that the line might only go as far as Granville.
