I never thought it would of happened, but those who don't know, there is a forest fire in the Fraser Valley. Burns Bog to be exact, which is in central Delta. Looks like on the ferry Webcams that the smoke has reached Vancouver Island...seems kind of odd seeing as how we got a lot of smoke today at Walnut Grove and Fort Langley which is in the opposite direction of Vancouver Island...I guess wind can switch directions all the time.

Yeah, it's up here as well. It was worse yesterday, it burned the nose to breath whenever I went outside, but today it was cloudy and there was a bit of moisture in the air so it wasn't as bad.

It was bad at Lunch in North Van today. My contact lenses have been feeling drier than normal from the smoke, and it is slightly harder to breathe.

I went to Steveston yesterday evening to watch the sunset... it was spectacular. Smoke is everywhere... it was especially bad in Port Coquitlam today.
As strange as it seems, having a forest fire in the middle of the city, it's not the first time it's happened. Less than 10 years ago, the same thing happened. Burns Bog is huge, I forget how many Stanley Parks would fit in it... at least 20.

On the news they said it was 10 Stanley Parks, and it sounds like the last fire was in 1996 just by the Alex Fraser Bridge.

Yeah it has happened before cause I remember hearing about a fire in Burns Bog like back in 97 or something! But it was a bit hazy over here on the island in the Sidney area! Actually looked hazy over the Malahat too! Funny it would have reached all the way over here!
