Why are so many people not in favour of more s class designs, I think that new s class should be built because there so large and comfy. The c class are so unintresting with only one deck, and they look combersome with two bridges, they just stick out, the bridges should be molded into the ship like the fast cats, anyway.

the fast cats, as i understand were hard and cumbersome to dock, just like the HL, becausee they dont have Bow thrusters. or even a propeller.

The Queen of Esquimalt, and PacificCats are clear demos of why NOT to use a one-ended ferry on the HsB-DepDay routes. They waste time, it's not as convient, or easy to handle as Swartz Bay-Tsawassen. The Queen of Esquimalt wastes a solid 5-7 minutes on that turn. Im curious as to the size of the ships, they sound like they're exactly the same size as a current vessels, so much for "Super" That route really needs extra capacity, atr least in the summer. I suppose they may retain a V class, but they're rubbish (and please, don't post that you like them. An objective observer can tell you the Esq and Van should be long gone, the Saanich is almost done.)

I like the V class ships because of their history and their outside deck space, but I don't like how they have to back out at HB. 2 weeks ago I travelled on the Queen of Esquimalt to Langdale, and they had to back the ship out half-way into the channel. That probably adds the 10 minutes to the HB-lngdl run with the Esquimalt. At least its easy to back into Langdale. It also the only time I've been on a V class ship out of HB
