Heres 2 ideas for the PR Queen and Capilano.
#1Give PR Queen Platform ramps for left and right sides.Only Problem Pasenger Restrictions like the Alberni.
#2 When Capilano goes to Saltery Bay-Earls Cove if she overloads with platform ramps strech her and give her a better dining facility and seats during her strech

I was actually on the Queen of Cumberland today. When I came back from Pender tonight we had 2 stops, Mayne and Galiano and when I got on her at Pender she had the platform deck on the starboard side down with vehicles on it as the main deck was all Pender traffic. But I think they should build a new ship for the Bowen Island run, and move the Capilano to Swartz Bay to replace the Mayne Queen. Build more Cumblerland and Capilano class ships for the smaller runs including a larger one for the earls cove route. Maybe like the original Alberni type for that run. Or move the Skeena Queen to Bowen Island, build a new larger Cumberland class for the Fulford Run. redo the Cumbie and Capilano and have more comfortable seating. More like the Spirit's have. That would free the Mayne Queen as an extra. Maybe to replace the NIP for now. The Bowen as an extra. Maybe for like the Campbell River run or Cortez Run or something.

I thought that there were problems with the Capilano's steering ability (or something like that), when it was on the Jervis Inlet run, as the start of her life in 1991. Something about not being able to make the passage between Nelson Island & a smaller island, just before you make the turn to come into Earl's Cove.
Can any of you "insiders" confirm this please?
I remember driving from Powell River down to Saltery Bay, with ferry schedule in hand, just to see the "new" Q-Capilano come into the dock at Saltery Bay, back at Thanksgiving 1991, or so. But, after they tried the Chilliwack on the SwartzBay-Gulf Islands route, they switched the Chilliwack to Jervis Inlet, and moved the Capilano to Bowen Island, which freed up the Howe Sound Queen to move to Crofton-Vesuvius.
Can you say "chain reaction"?
