No, the '34 Hastings Express' hasn't been revived - as some of us wish it would be, using trolleys - but I did catch a rare sight today on film of two trolleys side by side, one passing the other on the express wires, a relatively rare sight, as a training vehicle... (The timing isn't the greatest, but in a way it does point out what's hard to see, that the two trolleys are running on separate tracks) www.masstransport2010.fotopic.net/p43982328.html
www.masstransport2010.fotopic.net/p43982327.htmlThere is some history of the unprecedented nature of this former trolley route of ours here: www.tinyurl.com/2uv4hz...And photographs can be found of when there were actually 5 sets of trolley wires in a row, near Playland's historic wooden coaster and the site of the former Empire Stadium from when the 5th set was for layover trolleys waiting for the crowds to burst from Empire Stadium after an event.

Sorry for my usual fuzzy scanning, but this is probably the picture you're refering to..... I guess this means I'm a (closet) transit fan, as this is framed and on my wall.

Exactly the one, thank you for that, Neil.
What came to mind was in fact that one of 20 Brills lined up in a row with only one break along Hastings beside Empire Stadium, the same stretch with the dip west of the Cassiar Tunnel.
