I've found a bunch more space that I didn't know was accessible through my fotopic upgrade recently, so this will be the first of many additions hopefully. Francis Rattenbury is probably the most well-known architect for buildings in Victoria and I personally have a lot of respect for his work - It would have been nice to see his GTP plans for a Prince George hotel, hopes of building which were dashed by the owner of the company, Charles Melville Hayes, being killed in the sinking of the Titanic - including the landmark BC Parliament Buildings (1898) (and additions), the former CPR Steamship Terminal (1924), now the wax museum, and of course the Empress Hotel (1908) (and additions) which celebrates its centennial next year. I've made this tribute collection to his work in our province www.bcrootsareshowing.fotopic.net/RattenburyAs well as shots of the Ledge during a Canadian Cancer Agency lantern event on the lawn including: www.bcrootsareshowing.fotopic.net/p43836432.htmlI've also created a new collection dedicated to other historic architecture and infrastructure of the Victoria area www.bcrootsareshowing.fotopic.net/VictoriaIncluding photos of the big blue Johnson Street Bridge drawn ...and have added 4 photos, including on of the official historic site plaque, to the Craigflower Manor collection www.bcrootsareshowing.fotopic.net/craigflower

A dozen new edits of aerial images of the Greater Vancouver area. These were taken using my last camera and from a great height so it took some major editing, hence the lower quality. www.bcrootsareshowing.fotopic.net/aerialHighlights include Downtown Vancouver, YVR - Vancouver International Airport, Deas, the AF Bridge with Seaspan's Tilbury Terminal and this photo showing Richmond, Delta, Deltaport and ferry terminal causeways and Point Roberts in the USA with the San Juan Islands in the background... www.bcrootsareshowing.fotopic.net/p44278937.html

Graham, to your Rattenbury page on fotopic you should add some pics of the old Vancouver Courthouse (now the Art Gallery). That building was, I am fairly certain, another FMR project. There are many other as well.

There are many other as well. I cannot deny that fact, and thanks for taking me to account, Jim. Though I've taken the former courthouse for granted for so many years and countless times when given the chance to photograph it, despite my passing it repetitively since my youthful teenage years on the bus especially, I've reasoned for not capturing it so far 'on film' by many ways but I'll take your mention as a firm suggestion for a challenge, and I thank you for it.
