Here's something those interested in alternative means of transportation in the valley and the self-styled Metro Vancouver region might be interested in.

As I mentioned earlier, I went to the Mt Cheam Model Railroad Show, etc.

Anyway, they had a neat little organization called 'Rail for the Valley' with a petition people could sign in support of light-rail transit along the old BCE line.

In addition, they wanted to be able to garner support by flooding the premier's email box today: Oct 15th.

So have at it... it may be short notice but I think we could get a number of people from here to send in an email. Not that it would actually get read, but numbers count and all they want is for the province to at least look at an alternative before it forces the whole 'Gateway to Increased Congestion' through and uses up all our money.

I know some of you are pretty good with words, so give it a try and see what happens.
